I don't believe so, because most marriages I know don't need that to keep alive. So that makes side women automatically non essential, from my POV at least.
Side women are more a sign of problems inside the marriage, and the potential source for more problems.
The stereotype would be a woman who's unwilling or unable to satisfy his man, a man who is not strong enaugh to work on the marriage and too coward to end it, and a side woman who has poor self love and it's oblivious enaugh to faithfully believe he's going to leave everything for her.
The only close person I know that has been through this, is the mother of a girl my age. She was the side woman, was madly in love, got pregnant and then the man stopped seeing her. The girl my age seemed quite unbalanced mentally, and sometimes I believe knowing his father didn't want her or her mother could trumatize her. A side relationship can create very damaging dramas. For the marriage, for the person cheated on, for the side person. Now we are talking about women on the cheated and side person role, but if it's a man is equally terrible and psychologically harmful.

Is this a joke?
Why get in a committed relationship in order to... be uncommitted? If someone is consciously making the choice to cheat, just find someone who will be in an open or poly marraige. It is because one wife isn't enough, after all, right?
There's never a good reason to cheat. It doesn't save a marriage, because a marriage is a relationship built on trust. If something is lacking in your marraige, talk about it. For example, if your wife stopped having sex regularly- tell her it's important for a strong and healthy marraige. Give her a chance.
Aside from the wife, being a side chick can be mentally draining- I watched my friend try to be a side chick. She began to hate being, "the other woman," but she stayed with him until he finally split with his wife. He finally made her his main... but then he got another side chick.
- a man who cheats on his partner. tend to do so when being denied by his partner regularly. because his partner is not available or in the mood.
- a woman who cheat on her partner. tend to do so when she gets bored of her partner. because her partner can't seem to pleasure her regularly.

Side chicks are more to blame/thank for the END of marriages not keeping them together.. as are any men/women that would have a side chick/guy or anyone that would treat) view someone as a side piece instead of a person with real feelings... And then people wonder/get on me for not wanting to date or be in a relationship 🤷🏼♀️ Why would I tho.. What's become of people that it's okay to view people/ treat people as a side.. This ain't McDonald's now, this is LIFE..
Not if you’re a guy like Chris Watts. Not even the wife and kids stay alive, let alone the marriage.
Well they destroyed my mom's marriage so no thank you
Wtf? No just no. We all know cheating ruins relationships. Unless y'all agreed to have side people then sure its alright but still not healthy for a realtionship.
No. Sexual urges are not a key to marriage. They are a part of marriage but they are not essential.
What is key is your love, faithfulness and commitment to each other.
Trust in a relationship is vital. It is one of those pieces that once it's lost a strong relationship can literally die within minutes.
It's playful to think that sexual urges would be allowed within a marriage, to have accepted partners allowed for each.
But in practice. It's about your love and commitment to each other.
And studies have shown that sexual urges can be distracted and put away rather than entertained.
Overall, it's best to preserve your commitment to each other.
Because it's one thing to lose a sex partner and quite another to lose your life partnerHave we mentioned about the kids in the marriages with a side piece... ahem side chick yet?
I have never found any children, teens or adults who are happier to have another mommy.
Sickness for All.
Esp. the men who have a Harem mentality. Pathetic.if that's what you think then either have an open marriage or just don't get married
Lmao. Pretty sure most people the answer to this.
No. It will destroy your relationship in a heartbeat. Why? Cuz you're obviously not satisfied with whoever you're married to (even if y'all didn't marry for love) so you go lookin' for 'it' someone else. 'It' means the thing you aren't getting in your relationship. If you've gotten to a point in your marriage/ relationship where you're considering adding someone else in the mix, maybe you shouldn't be in that relationship. It's fine. No shame in a failing relationship. Just end it before you do something you'll regret. 🙏There is no such thing as a side chick. It's called cheating. If someone cheats they don't love their current partner and therefore they don't care if cheating hurts their feelings cause they don't care about their feelings. In this case its best to end it. No such thing as a side chick, just someone he or she would rather be with as opposed to you.
I think it seems more exciting if you do it in secret.. better to be honest and open about it in my opinion. I have trust issues anyway so I guess I’ll have to resort to an open relationship and just not give my whole heart away if I decide to settle down one day.
Marriage implies a commitment between two people towards each other or at the very least an agreement between the two that they intend to have an open marriage. If one party is not privy to the fact that "sanctioned" cheating is happening as in, in an open marriage, how can it be essential to keeping a marriage alive. If anything, if found out that is likely the end of the marriage because it was filled with lies and deceit and I doubt you'll find many sane and rational women thanking the side chick.
You must be joking.
on the other hand i really love women so much, that if I'm "allowed to" i would be "married" to several women at the same time. My need for love is insatiably and one woman may not be enough but that really depends. 😀
still, I'm not gonna hurt the woman i love. Not her and not random women either. Ain't gonna happen. No cheating. Good women deserve love and loyalty as do i.Not at all. People just wanna justify having multiple women.
No, I don't think so. If there's a need for a side chick then the marriage is already dying. What do you think about this, coach?
side chick = mistress = affair = cheating... right?
I think this is kinda a deal breaker for marriage and even a steady dating relationship.
side chicks = friends with benefits basically...If you need a side chick then that should be your answer not to be married anymore , what would be the point staying married to someone that doesn’t fulfill you? And yes I know it happens a lot nowadays but really think about your partner , how would you feel if she was going out getting side sick?
i find it hilarious when the side chicks are mostly average looking bitches at best and the wives are often hotter. what's going on men? are most of you blind when you cheat or the cock wants what it wants?
I initially thought this was a joke.
Then I saw the name of the asker "Coach Anthony" is back again with his inane questions! HuzzahMost happy, healthy, and loving marriages don't need another person in their relationship. For some that do it's either because they're open or poly or they're actually cheating behind their partner's back. For the last one that would end in divorce. But the other two could work if that's what they want in their marriage. It's not a guarantee though since there are still risks to doing it.
No. It’s insulting because the side chick usually a bum compared to the main woman. If that’s this is the case then I guess a guy shouldn’t be mad if I have multiple boyfriends.
