Should I tell my ex I had sex with someone else?

Our relationship was okay. We met three years ago and dated. He broke up with me. He was not ready for something serious. We would talk on and off for the next 1 to 1.5 years. He got a girlfriend, he even cheated on her with me ( I didn’t know he was in a relationship) then they broke up beginning of last year 2019. I have wanted to be with him since I meet him. We started talking a lot he even went to a wedding with me that summer. We got more serious I moved into his place in October of last year. He would only ever say he hearts me which I hate soo much. He is very bad at saying his emotions. I’m more with my emotions. I need affection and he doesn’t like cuddle or anything public. He has a drinking problem. He has to drink to sleep. Also we like nvr had sex like we would go months. N I would try to a lot. I feel not pretty or wanted just in general I would tell him but I don’t think he took it serious. So I said I can’t do this anymore. But then a couple days later he said he loved me. He was being more affectionate and it was confusing. Like just cuz he is being like that for a couple of days doesn’t change anything. We r staying friends and in contact. It’s been almost one month and I had sex with someone else. But I still love him n wanna make it work should I tell him? He is gonna work on his drinking we r getting him help I said I would be there no matter what for that. I said all the bad but there was a lot of good too. But I feel bad and I regretted and not having sex with anyone anymore. Should I tell him?
