Why are a lot of women nosy?

I have seen women check guys cell phones, go through his things, and eavesdrop on men all the time. Why?

I think (and hope, most fervently) that it's a small subsection of women that does that. Because it's just inexcusable. I might check his cell phone for fun games, if there was some weird case where I was bored and it was there, but I'd most likely ask before that, too.

There may be a strong desire to find something to be able to say "see, he's a terrible person!" in cases of insecurity, a desire to end the relationship but not be the party "at fault", things like that. This wouldn't really be a conscious thing, but it does at least give this behavior some sort of reason.

But you'd be justified in getting upset - that's on the order of crazy invasion of privacy.

Guys are just as nosy as girls are. It's just what girls do. Now there is fine line in how far a girls goes, now if she freaks out about every number in your phone especially girls even if they are family then she has got to go. Or erases numbers text etc then she is a down right bitch. My ex used to be that way he used to erases my number from guys even if they were family. My best guy friend is gay and he used to flip out if I was texting or talking to him at all.

We like to know what our guy is doing. I personally don't mind if a guy looks through my phone because I don't have anything to hide. I feel if a guy doesn't let me see his phone, he is hiding something. And nine times out of ten he is...or else why would it be such a big deal in the first place? Women are curious creatures so if you are a faithful guy, you shouldn't have anything to worry about when a girl looks through your phone.

It depends on the woman past relationships. whether if the man has been faithful to her or not or maybe through her experience dealing with sneaky and conniving men. You know how guys are.

I think it's a trust issue. Plus, some women are just naturally curious. For some reason, she feels the need to check up on you. Unless you have something to hide, I don't think it should really bother you. If you get defensive about it, then she will think you have something to hide. As far as it being an invasion of privacy, I think that's a personal preference. Some guys could feel that way about it.

Dude, all women are nosy. some will just control it thinking, they trust the guy, but to tell you the truth they don't trust us, and sometimes shouldn't lol., but somtimes it's cause they just wanna know more about you without asking you!

Cause we are curious to see what are men are up to and weather or not they are being faithful and usually it is because of something they have done in the past so it is definitely not nosy it is being curious.

I don't do this. My guy doesn't do this to me, either. I think the ones that do exhibit this behavior have most likely been burned before and have severe trust issues.
