I have a guy friend almost two years. We started dating at first for 6 months, then stayed as friends. We’ve gotten closer and he said if I sleep with him or not, he still wants to be in my life.

I said I feel like I don’t really know him well but would like to and don’t want to lose him and I asked in what way he meant staying in my life and he said ‘anyway sweetie, as a friend or girlfriend or possibly wife, but time will tell”

What could he mean?

I get what you mean, just I don’t know how I feel about him either at times. I want to be with someone who actually wants to be with me

He means he is open to the idea of any of those three things he said, as long as you are in his life.

He seems to consider you important and has some sort of feelings for you.

Im not sure of him though but with what he said I get the impression that he is unsure about me too

I would tell you not to limit your options.

Just because he has feelings and wants to keep you in his life doesn't mean it will be as a romantic partner.

I've been going through this very thing, although I am very sure this man is someone I want to be with. I had to come to terms that it might happen, or it might not.
