Have you ever replaced someone without meaning to?

I guess one chick got replaced, sort of, haha. I had a hotter chick lined up before I met her but suddenly thought it wasn’t going to pan out. Then this other chick came at me right as that was looking like the case, and honestly, I wasn’t all that into her but she was just trying so hard, and I think that stroked my ego, so I said “fuck it, I’ll give her break.”, plus it was sort of a consolation prize for my bruised ego. But then literally a couple days later, the hot chick DID pan out, and I was like “how long can I juggle both without it blowing up in my face?” (No commitments had been made yet, but you still know how that goes) The answer to that was about two more days, lmfao, and actually a THIRD chick I ended up leaving a party with (I was on fire that week, this was not at all normal for me😂) was the deal-breaker for the “consolation” chick, because one of the other girls from her dorm saw me with her. She was like “HEY STEVE...🤨” when she saw me, she thought it was a “gotcha!” moment, but I was unfazed, lmao, I was like “Sup✌️“, because I’m sorry, but I’ve known your friend for like literally three days. It actually solved the whole issue for me because the trying-hard girl had bought us tickets to see Kanye West that weekend (who had JUST dropped his first album... holy shit, time flies), but I found out the hot chick that I wanted to keep around (or be kept around by her, haha) was going to the same show with her sister, so I was already aware I’d have to bail on the show. I just didn’t call the other chick for a couple days, then she calls the day of the show and is like “were you planning on going to Kanye today?”, obviously annoyed, so I knew her friend talked. I was kind of nonchalantly like “I don’t know... did you want me to go?” She says “I’d prefer if you DIDN’T”, and I said “ok, that’s cool”, and she just banged the jack on me😂 Honestly, I wish I handled it better, it was a dick move, but at the time I was just trying to preserve the situation I had with my originally targeted girl. I later worked with a kid who used to hook up with her too, and she’s... a “good times girl”, haha, so I feel a little better about it than if she was someone who was more prudish and discriminating about who she hooked up with, just in the sense of maybe her emotional attachment wasn’t too strong and I was just a guy-of-the-moment for her too. I never want to do anybody dirty, I’m not about hurting feelings. I definitely hurt hers though, still, and I’m not proud of it.
