My boyfriend left me crying and went to party?

So I've been going through a tough time lately. Im not gonna get too much into it, but one of the things that happened and I found out just this morning that I am pregnant. I'm not ready for that responsibility and there's so much I wanna do before that, so I decided to get an abortion, which I'm really scared of, but it's the only option for me right now. I told my boyfriend this the same day and he was supportive of my decision. However, I still wasn't feeling well and I was balling my eyes out later that day when he was with me. He then got invited to a party and decided to go. I tried to not mind that, but it honestly kinda hurt that he would leave me alone in such a vulnerable state. I expressed how I felt and he tried to calm me down, but seemed like he didn't even think about staying with me when I needed him most. Again, I was crying and was obvious that I wasn't feeling well. He went anyway and now I feel so alone. Is this okay? Am I overreacting?

I'm thinking your guy is a dumbass. I'm a dumbass and I at least know abortion is no teeny ordeal. You're supposed to cancel the party. Plus I'm at least partially to blame for that situation if I was in his shoes. Duh!

I'm not one of those who are like, "You should leave that asshole!" I don't know what goes on between you two exactly. But you know, I think your guy needs to better understand what you feel and go through. If he's very young then he might be a bit clueless right now and still has potential.

There's always time for talk -- after sex, before sex. I've gotten better at opening up to girls over my lifetime but it helped me when I was in my 20s if girls approached me in a humorous way like we cuddle and make jokes, and then she shifts the convo to a serious topic. I was and still am allergic to the "we need to talk" kind of confrontational approach.

If I was in his shoes though, I wanna have the kid. We can get married immediately. I know it was unanticipated and all but I can take up some of the grunt work. We can make it work. Do or die.

With that said, I can understand the temptation to abort, especially if your guy is very unreliable.

in my opinion, the ultimate job a man has when a woman is feeling this way is to make her feel safe... to take away her worries about any future when shit hits the fan because he will stand in front of the fan and protect her from the shit. I don't think your boyfriend is doing a very good job of that right now but if he's very young, maybe he can learn this over time.
