That's my friend's horrible terrible. She got ganged raped several years ago when she was 16. She only knew the ringleader; someone she rejected in HS twice.

She wanted to save herself till marriage but now sometimes still feels so disgusted in herself. Basically she got robbed of her life, her choice. She's afraid of what guys will think of her. If you were a guy that only wanted a virgin girlfriend/wife, what would you think of her?

That's her only experience, that horrible ordeal. It was out of her control but she's still afraid of getting judged and seen as tainted or damaged. In the beginning she used to think of killing herself.

I'n a completely different way, I know how she feels. In the first place, my virginity was stolen by a girl who, later, told me she was only using me to make anoother guy jealous! Anyway,, I would PREFER a virgin but, fat chance I'll ever get one!! I'm more interested in the person and her personality, NOT her sexual past. If she used to be a porn star, I'd have to think about it. Otherwise, no big deal. All those 3 guys are serving their time in prison. They've been segregated to a different prison. They didn't last too long with the general prison population. Those inmates hate both rapists and child molesters. At the moment, she still continues having therapy sessions.

Glad to hear that about those losers and I know about the way they're treated in jail. My brother was in jail for a COMPLETELY BOGUS child molestation charge!! I wasn't in the courtroom so, I have no idea how they came to the verdict that he was guilty but, they did, I KNOW it was bogus!! In the first place, not only did he treat her like his own daughter but, mom was there and told me the little girl walked right past him in court, flashed him the peace and said, "I love ya, Bob.". Bob wouldn't hook up with her, so she told everyone that he'd molested her 9 year old daughter!! A couple years later, her hubby divorced her. I still don't know if he knows about what she'd been doing. Last time I saw him was at his brother's funeral several years ago and he was QUITE civil towards us, as opposed to how nasty he was when it all started. I still didn't know, then, what I know now. My best friend knows him, now so, maybe I'll ask her if he knows.
Anyway, Bob mentioned to us a few times about how the guards would leave his cell door open and allow other inmates in to steal his food and what have you and beat him up, occasionally.
As for your friend, on one hand, it's a good thing that she's having therapy sessions, on the other, they CAN be a bit bothersome, sometimes. If she were here right now, I'd give her a great big hug!! I'm told I give the best hugs!! Tell her she can have one from me anytime she needs one!

That´s a totally different thing because if it´s clear that she was raped it´s clear that it wasn´t her choice. I´d prefer a virgin but that would be a definite exception for me. You need to give me details about the rape. I just wanna what triggers I need to avoid. What would bring those experiences back to mind and what can I do to help you.
That´s like finding a jewel that got torn out of its frame if you understand what I mean. It´s not at all a deal breaker it would just make things a little more complicated because I have little to no experience handling with that. I would need information what I should do/ shouldn´t do and we would need to have or a better and more trust worthy communication about that.
But generally speaking it´s not dealbreaker at all.

At this moment she's still in therapy. She has horrible flashbacks about how she was grabbed from behind, taken by surprise. So for example a future boyfriend wanting to hug or cuddle her as surprise while she's cooking or not looking will likely trigger her.

That would be a thing for example I´d need to know. Because if I knew that, I wouldn´t do it myself and would try to stop any of friends or other people from doing to her. I´m not going to tell others about the reason I just would tell them she doesn´t like that that´s all they need to know.

Its not her fault. The virginity thing (and to be fair I don't exactly want a virgin, I do want a woman who is not promiscuous though) is predominantly due to the fact that the more sexual partners the more likely she is to develop an emotional connection to that person and thus weaken the ones she develops later. I don't think that is something that is going to happen as it pertains to rape (I know I don't have positive feelings for my rapist).

Its also an indicator of self control, that you are not impulsive, that your not going to be impulsive later on and cheat etc. Again, as it pertains to rape, I don't think that is applicable as it was not your choice.

The only issue would be whether or not she has overcome the trauma to have a functional relationship or at the very least is working towards that (obviously if she is so traumatized that sexual relations will be impossible, that is not a relationship that is going to work).

So I don't think you have anything to worry about there except for overcoming that trauma.

This is not about her lack of virginity, it’s about her mental health, how she copes with a guy in a relationship, triggers such as someone walking up behind her and touching her ( like a partner would do), how her sleep state is.

If her mental health was fine, she could say she was a Virgin and guys simply would not know.

She's still going to counseling at the moment. The upsetting part is the monsters still had the luxury of being segregated from the general prison population. If not the inmates would've beaten them so badly.

I think you fundamentally misunderstand why guys want virgin women. It's really got little to do with her being a virgin. it's got everything to do with her character. No guy wants the future mother of his children to have been a human pin cushion. He doesn't want to worry about her sucking off all his friends behind his back.

She got tested twice and luckily both came out negative. She still has PTSD and currently in therapy sessions. So while she's good in physical health, mentally she's still traumatized.
