Have you ever been in a relationship and thought someone else was better? What would you do?

Somtimes we just see someone else we simply like more. I don't know what people actually do though.

I don't think I've ever left a relationship for another person.

I've been with someone and had doubts which led me to end it with the person, but I haven't really 'switched' unless there was a natural separation between the two.

Like someone was going to move away and did I like them enough to do long distance? Answer is no so we broke up. And then I don't know a few weeks later, into hot girl summer someone who was a friend just happens to be more available.

I don't know maybe the friend was secretly buying his time, but from my end, I didn't dump someone for another.

I thought the guy i was not dating was better but rejected him because I was already dating somebody and later learned the guy I rejected was a very bad person, based on his bad behaviour after I turned him down and the horrible way he treated his new girlfriend after he realized I was not able to date him.

Key word being relationship which the foundation of is trust / loyalty. I wouldn't falter; if something was wrong I would communicate that & if she made no efforts to please me I would consider ending it. I would encourage her to do the same if the reverse were true & I failed to please her.

Just because you like another person does not mean the other person will reciprocate. Besides relationships are living things. They have their good days and bad days.

Depends on why you think they are better.. you probably also do not know the person as well as your partner. Maybe you mainly know the good sides, people rarely show their heavy stuff so you need to know them pretty well to actually tell if they are better.

In general if you feel something towards someone who is not your partner look at what it is more exactly you like about them. Likely you get something from them that you are lacking from your partner. Maybe you can work on your relationship and improve what you are seeking in others.

For some people, it’s just that the grass is always greener.
They take for granted the things that have become comfortable... then something new and exciting comes along and they are tempted.
It doesn’t mean that the other person is better, it just means that they are different.
It depends on whether you can differentiate lust with whatever you think you are feeling and whether you think it’s worth it.

I had this happen to me, but only because I was scared of being dumped. I ignored it because I knew these were only my feelings at the time, and I didn't love the person I was thinking of, vs the person I was with. But I ended up getting dumped any way so I think it's all up to your heart and gut instint.

If you were in a relationship and you found someone else more attractive or a better option, then you weren't as in love with the original person as you thought. The likely thing to do would be to leave and hook up with the other person. If they felt the same. Or you'd wind up cheating, etc. Or do nothing and ignore the feeling.

I dont like torturing myself nor the other person. I would break up immediately if that happened to me. I would probably not even pursue the second person
