I think pretty much every country shows similar stats, in fact I think in some cultures if a guy cheats nothing happens but if a woman cheats she can end up dead or lashed etc.

Chances are it will get closer, however guys have been the highest offenders for likely centuries.

As a guy it’s not really worth defending as the majority of us know this from male friends and stuff that happens on works trips, lads nights out etc.

To me though it matters not who cheats but that I don’t nor my partner.

Yes people tend to be more honest with anonymous but that doesn't mean everyone is still being honest in that survey. If it is anonymous, there is also a chance that there can be women posting as an anonymous male or a male posting as an anonymous female. But in the end they are still anecdotes that doesn't really provide real data but what really shows is society cares more if a man cheats and social experiments shows that one and it's not even just a survey where anyone can just be honest or not. Even "women are wonderful effect" has something to do with that.

I think men go into affair if they are not getting it at home, seen some new babe in office or made a new friend and has been turned on looking at her or his married friends having affair and he is also tempted to try something looking at them.

Women on the other hand mostly go into affair if their husband is alcoholic abusive person, Husband is not giving enough time for her both emotionally and physically, she has seen her friends having great time with other men even thought they are married and she is tempted to try it as well.
