Why do people put picture of them and their partner on their profile picture?

In my opinion it's because there significant other has insecurity or jealousy issues and they have there other half post a pic of them together cuz they think that will deture others from possibly getting at them, flirting with them, etc... I could be wrong but from my personal experience and what I've been told by others that's been there majority of the responses I got.

I guess I don't look at profile pics much and have not noticed. I just have my pic and no one else's. But it might keep people from DMing them for sexting reasons if they can see they are taken.

How do you know, from those pictures that they are even really together? A lot of lame, virgin dudes post pics with other women, and they don't even know their names, and make it look like they aren't 35, single virgins (OK, it's totally OK, being a virgin, of ANY age, and I shouldn't judge, BUT, when they post that shit, and I KNOW? It's hard not to MOCK THEIR LIE!!)
