What's the most romantic thing you've ever done?

I met my wife one Memorial Day weekend at the beach. She was not impressed with me at all. I tried to talk to her and she tried her best to ignore me. I wanted to aske her out but didn't get the chance. I did not even know her name. However, I did know where she went to college and I did know the town she lived in. This was before the internet. So I drove to the college and went to the library and got the yearbook and looked through the whole thing, page by page and by golly I did find her picture. Then I went to her hometown library and looked up her phone number and address in the local phone book. I did a drive by past her house and saw her car in the driveway. it took me a couple of days to work up the courage to call her out of the blue but I did it.
She told me that her opinion of me rose mightily when I told her how I tracked her down.

I am not sure because the responses didn't always turn out as intended.

Also, some things that I have done might not be considered romantic in the classical objective sense but were little things that she understood and that ended up being special to her.

Right now, it's the 31st anniversary of the most magical time in my life that would lead to the second half of my life - the past 29.5 years - living as a member of the undead. I don't want to go back in my mind to those times, which I need to do to properly answer this question of yours. Revisiting those times in my mind will be emotionally upsetting to me and likely cause more of the dreams and nightmares that I have been cursed with for 3 decades - especially from 10 AUG to Labor Day every year.

I took my future wife to a fancy restaurant on the waterfront in Naples, Ca. one evening Afterwards, we went on a gondola ride through the Naples canals and had Champaign and chocolates. That's where I proposed to her and slipped the ring on her finger.

A couple friends and I in high school put our money together and bought enough roses from the student council both wooden and real roses and went class to class handing them out to every female in the school. It was on Valentine's Day and we dressed like tuxedo mask and each rose came with a heart shaped lollipop.

Our city is next to a river and there is a place called Ribeira, quite famous here, where you can see both shores very close and both look amazing. Specially at night!
I found a place in a high garden where you can see both of them and the bridge. It was a glorious view.
I cooked, got drinks, prepared a good dinner with desert and everything. Bought folding chairs and table. Picked my girlfriend at the time from work, took her there and we ate a romantic dinner at candle light.
