I once shipped a huge patchwork quilt overseas, to a long distance boyfriend’s address. I wanted him to be warm and have something nice. However, I’m generally not very romantic by nature.
A few years ago, I was in college. For Christmas, I invited her to a feast. I woke up very early in the morning and made a full feast. There were many old recipes from England, France, and Germany dating back to 1500-1900 even unknown to most chefs today. Everything took like 5-6 hours of cooking and then cleaning. However, at lunchtime, she wasn't picking up calls. I was clueless about what happened. She never came and only called me back around 7 pm. She told me that she was extremely sick from food poisoning the whole day. I believed her and even gave her some of the leftover food the next day.
After a few days, I saw some photos on Instagram. Someone tagged her in some party photos dated on Christmas. Apparently, she went partying with some other guys who were way richer than me. They later dined at a very expensive restaurant. The guy even told me that she probably had sex with some of them. When I confronted her about this, at first she was denying it. After showing the pictures, she was silent.
u I shipped us... all the way to somewhere in Mexico, she was missing her grandma really bad (after not seeing her in person for years, since she had moved) this one time... so I just booked us for the long trip, and before the day was over, they were arms around each other for like an hour or something before she even notice me, or met me
she did say that, it was the most lovely thing I ever did for her and someone had done for her till then
Whenever one of us spends time away from home due to holidays or work I usually prepare a basket full of his favorite snacks, sometimes I'd bake a cake or make his favorite dessert and meal and put it in the refrigerator with sweet notes. There was this one time we were upset at each other and my Husband left the house on a work trip and we didn't speak for a few days by the time he came back I was gone on a work trip too so I wrote an apology with lipstick on the mirror and left a letter apologizing him.
I don’t remember what I did, but my ex often told me I am a very romantic person behind the tough exterior I chose to put on.
He said “When we first met I could never imagine you’d be this sweet and romantic.”

I welcomed by SO home from her trip with a path of rose petals on the floor that led from the entrance door into the bedroom, where I was waiting to give her a massage.
Knew she was going to have a bad Valentines day (we were still in the friend phase) so I snuck into her room when she was in the shower and hid a card and some jewelry under her pillow... which came in handy a few hours later when she came home unhappy,
I planned a whole little treasure hunt type of birthday with different location spots and gifts for one of my exes lol. Planned a surprise birthday trip. And bring surprise home cooked lunches packed with sticky notes at his workplace. He loved it.
Learned to play my hubby favorite game without him knowing it then asked to play with him as a surprise.
Ge still kicked my butt and we both lost online but We had way more fun than past dates, plus it was covid so we were stuck.
Surprised the wife with a vacation to a tropical area for a week. Private beach, private property was quite nice
I built her a bench for our garden. She thought it was so nice she insisted tonput it on our porch because she did not want tonleave it outdoors
I'm a sociopath so I don't have feelings or any of that stuff. I give her the first, best, or most of every thing we do, eat, have or accumulate. She gave me 3 beautiful daughters and she does everything she can to make sure they aren't like me. That's the best I can do and I hope she understands. I know she doesn't. Maybe when I'm gone and she has to do it all on her own.
