Depends on the friend, the friendship, and how you go about telling him if you decide to do it.
For me if it was my best friend I would tell him, with picture/video evidence and something along the lines of "I figured you would want to know".
Picture and video evidence is too visceral for him to reject. He knows outright it happened and isn't just accepting it on trust with some questions in the back of his mind if it's really true.
He can accept it's true and make the decision for himself. I'd leave him alone for awhile and let him handle that however he chooses and not talk about it unless he comes to me about it.
To me that's best practice for handling it when the guys is a very close friend. If it's a guy I know and like, but we're not close enough and I know he's in a situation that is a little more shaky I might not.
If he relies in this girl a little too much to get by, then maintaining that relationship is akin to financial stability in his life. If he has kids or a kid on the way he wants to keep that's a very different scenario
Is it worth blowing up his situation when you're not going to be there for him longterm? That's my thought process. For me I'm gonna be there for my close friends. He can stay on my couch if he needs. I'll help him find a roommate if he needs.
I'll gift him money one time to help him out of a bind. I'm not about to do that for someone I'm not close to. So if I'm not prepared to help for the potential situation I caused I have to consider whether or not I'll tell him.
Because you will fundamentally change his relationship with her one way or the other. He'll have to question if the kid is his. That fact alone in this instance for me is a more pressing question.
Is it better he knows so he can get a paternity test and not risk raising another man's child? Might want to tell him but are you okay with the hell that comes from this and are you okay with helping or not helping in the aftermath?
For me as a man. I would want to know in that situation. But I can take care of myself00 Reply

Maybe the best course of action is to ask the girlfriend to confess to the boyfriend. If the girl confesses, there is a better chance for the painful relationship to heel. If these facts come from you, after she refuses to confess, thats an action of a real friend.
If the man who the girlfriend cheated with had any self respect, he would confront your friend and apologise like a man. There sre two kinds of men who get sexual with women that are in other relationships. The difference between them is knowing. Those men who know they are helping a girl, to cheat on their boyfriend, dont deserve to be called men.00 Reply

+1 yi think the best way is to let your friend know about it
i once found out one of my friend's boyfriend was trying to cheat on her so i thought if i told my friend she would be hurt as she was a very sensitive person so i talked to her boyfriend n tried to convince him that he shouldn't cheat on her as she loves him madly n all that n i told him i didn't tell this to my friend n i will keep quite as long as he gets honest with her... but to my surprise very next day my friend was so upset about me she came to my house n was kind of shouting that i tried lure her boyfriend on to me n i offered him sex n kissed him forcefully n he pushed me off etc...
i tried every possible way to tell her the true story but her boyfriend had her so convinced she wouldn't listen to me n she stopped seeing me n said we can't be friends anymore...
and after few months her boyfriend left her for that same girl who he was cheating with35 Reply- +1 y
typical, the friend always comes out badly so there is a need to be wise and stay out of it. If anything message the person anonymously.

+1 yI'd say you better know for sure it's true and have proof. Make sure it's not just a rumor
And if you find out for sure I'd go to her and tell her you know and want to give her the chance to come clean to him or you will because it's not right to hide it.
I'd also record the conversation with her to make sure she doesn't try to make something up to break up your friendship instead.
He deserves to know. And if you don't tell him, he finds out, and he somehow finds out that you knew, he's never gonna trust you to have his back.
It's a sucky situation.10 Reply

If you are really close friends. Bring evidence, and tell him. He will not believe without evidence. Tell him I care for you and if i was in your place i would want my friend to let me know too. This is what has been going on. what you do from here is your choice.
I will tell you one thing personally. If my partner was cheating on me, no matter how much i loved her and how many kids we have. I would LOVVVVVE that I get let known by my friends who find out. and if they knew and didn't tell me I would doubt their friendship. Friends are there to look out for each other !!!
Good luck !20 Reply
Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yAnonymous note or a message sent to him from an unknown device.
Explain exactly who, what happened, where and when.
Pretend in the message that you are some random friend of the guy she cheated with.
An anonymous person just letting him know.
If they ask if it was you, deny it completely.
Don't ever tell them because they will blame you for trying to tear apart their relationship.
If she's truly cheating he may need to get a paternity test to see if he's the fatger of that baby.
You're about to unleash a shit storm so make sure you know what you're doing and that you have your facts straight.
Personally I would just run away and never talk to them again.00 Reply
+1 yI'd tell my friend exactly what I do know.
I couldn't keep it a secret from her , because I'd be taking part in her partner's deceit and betrayal in an indirect way if I kept it from her
Then I'd support her no matter what decision she made20 Reply- 314 opinions shared on Relationships topic.
+1 yYou gotta tell him. I'd want to know if it was me.
And if you don't tell them, and in 10 years she does it again and he finds out, then he'll have just wasted those years.
Tell him, and let him make his own decisions on what to do with it.20 Reply Tell him ASAP.
I don’t care if people tell me it’s not my business and I should leave it. Nah I want people to tell me if I got cheated on and I don’t care where I can. Call or message me and tell me.
I’d be very angry and hurt if people knew but never said anything to me.
So to any and everyone, if you know about cheating that’s happening, speak up.10 Reply
+1 yI wouldn't want 'friends' who wouldn't tell me that my SO is cheating on me. I hate how there's still people with such good 'friends' they wouldn't even tell them if their SO is cheating. How could you live with yourselves knowing your supposed friend is being cheated on and doesn't even know it?
10 Reply504 opinions shared on Relationships topic. I would tell him without batting an eye. Because that's what friends do. I'm not gonna watch him get manipulated and smile just because he's happy.
In fact me and all my friends sort of agree on this. One of them once saw the other's girl out with another guy, without any context he called and told him, turns out he was aware (the boyfriend) but he didn't get mad because he knew it was in his best interest to be told00 ReplyAny time I have ever been in this situation and I came forward and even had proof. The victim refused to believe me and doubled down on the idea that "they would never do that to me." Then they proceeded to threaten me and hurl profanities and insults my way. Its just not worth it in my opinion. Let him catch her himself.
00 Reply1.3K opinions shared on Relationships topic. She's already pregnant?
Are you sure it's his?
You can confront her anonymously and tell her to confess or you will hand over the evidence that you have.
If she's pregnant and messing around then it might not be his kid.
He needs to be aware of that too.
Good luck.

+1 yYou need to tell him without question. Would you want to know or find out years later after she has continued to do him dirty the whole time. It’s probably best if you could get her to bust herself just don’t let it blow up in your face. Also you could try and have some evidence to show him if you can’t trip her up but be prepared for you friend to be pissed off at you. You just have to know you’re doing the right thing
00 ReplyI think you have to tell him, it's not a death sentence for every relationship but he needs to know. If he found out you knew and didn't tell him he's never forgive you. Also I'd question the forthcoming child, maybe it's not his?

+1 yWhoa. This is tough. Very tough. Really sucks being in this position.
Honestly I would keep quiet until he starts talking about her first. When he does ask him if he trusts her. Then tell him what you saw/heard. Say you hate being the messenger but you are telling him this out respect being a friend.00 Reply1.3K opinions shared on Relationships topic. I would stay out of it because there’s a good chance that the friend would not believe me. That could then cause problems in our friendship and I could be seen as the one who’s a bad person, instead of the cheater.
00 ReplyI lure her out with the prospect of sex. If she’s cheating she’ll want to cheat even more. We go to the classic hook up spot. We start making out, things get hot and heavy. I then stick a knife into her throat. Severing her jugular vein. Exactly how the boyfriend asked me. I tell him the job is done and I burn her car.
Then I get paid the agreed apon amount.00 Reply
+1 yTell him, but be careful how you do it and try to have some proof. Fools in love rarely see reason. Without the right evidence, in his lovestruck mind he will make you into the enemy just to deny how hurt he will be.

+1 yTell him but be careful how you do that. Don’t just flat out say it. You need to sit him down and talk before you can say you need to tell him something. And of course say it’ll be something difficult to hear.
Don’t just drop the bomb.00 ReplyI'd tell him.
I had a girl-friend of six years send me nude pictures of herself during a drunken state, she was already in a relationship of four years though. So I told my friend about a day later that she attempted to chest (or did dependant upon what you consider to be cheating or not) with me.
Luckily I got to keep being friends with the three of them, but I'm willing to lose my friend if it means saving him from even more pain.00 Reply- 721 opinions shared on Relationships topic.

I somewhat know the guy she was with and have a pic of them being quite intimate, yeah I did some stalking too out of curiosity. When I confronted the lad he told me she has been with other dudes too... I'm not sure if I should dwell further into this or just tell him straight away with what I have right now.
Unless you can take him to where she is caught in the act don't say a word.
