Crush on friend on discord?

So I’m on discord fairly frequently. I’m American and my friend lives in Europe. I’ve known him for almost two years now and we talk to each other frequently and play games together. We know what each other look like (video calls) and such. I’ve had a bit of crush on him for awhile but didn’t know if that was weird considering how we know each other and the unlikelihood of us being able to see each other in real life.
