Why would a guy bring his girlfriend to work?

I had a colleague like that who constantly brought his girlfriend to work. I didn't see the appeal for him or her since, while she didn't sit in the car the whole time and hung out at our office, it didn't seem all that interesting to her and rather distracting for him. They seemed rather joined at the hip and I'm not sure if that's always such a good thing taken to such extremities, although they're still together now and married so it seems to work for them. Mostly I found it distracting for us trying to work, and there was a temptation we had when she looked bored to try to entertain her even though we should be focusing on our work.

I did bring my wife along sometimes to business parties. There I wanted to show her my world and let her meet my boss and my colleagues so that she can get a better sense of what I do and the type of people with whom I work. Yet that's quite different from bringing her along during office hours which I never did. I would think it'd bore her out of her mind if I tried.

One thing in his case is that he was our documentation guy writing manuals for our software that spanned hundreds of pages. He didn't understand that much about the engineering side of our software but would spend most of his time trying to listen intently to our technical design discussions and speak to us individually to try to understand how that translates to usage guides in the manual. So that might have been a bit boring too listening to technical discussions that went over his head and maybe he wanted some company with his girlfriend.

You were so right. She posted on social media " When he asks me to accompany him to work, I will" . Then she flips the bird. The thing is I am in a position of power to have her removed because if she is not a guest of the hotel or employee, she is not suppose to be there. We can have her removed. We have been overlooking it although we are not suppose to. So sad. What a control freak?

Honestly it could be several reasons, ranging from her demanding this because she’s insecure/untrusting about what he does with his time, to her not having anything else to do while he’s working. She could not have her own car so it saves time to just have him drop off/pick her up during work time or just so many different things could be the catalyst. That’s why your best bet would be not trying to wrap your mind around someone else’s business lol no offense!

I get it, but who knows what’s happening on their end. She could have things going on that require her to be with him for certain junctures of time, or like I first mentioned, maybe she has some insecurities to sort through, I’ve seen women do crazier things lol. Point is tho, past crushing aside, I wouldn’t concern myself with it.

Maybe they're currently staying with his relatives and she would rather use the free wifi and eat and hangout in the car than sit with his parents or something?
They share one vehicle and she doesn't want to be trapped at home so she goes shopping and parks and waits for him. It could be anything.

Oh, well I was in a relationship with a nurse who worked night shift before. It was difficult because she worked all night and slept all day. I was lonely sleeping without her at night and I didn't work until the afternoon so I had to be quiet all day so she could sleep.
Maybe those two are coordinating their sleeping routine so they're both up at night and sleeping together during the day? That or they don't trust each other. lol.

This is a tough one. He used to have a crush on me. And told me he loved me. He is back working with me. I saw that same jealous look in his eyes that I remembered from before. Personally, I would not sit in a car waiting. I would be at home sleeping or something. Lol

Maybe he confessed to her that he has a crush on you and so she insists on being there whenever you're working together? It's difficult to know.
I remember one night when I was in my 20's and my girlfriend at the time was out partying.
I felt worried that she may cheat so I got out of bed at 2 am and drove to the bar and told her to come home or we're done. She came home.
It's difficult to know the dynamic and insecurities people have in their relationships.
I just stay out of it.

That has crossed my mind as well. Although he did have a crush on me and now he is back. He did tell me he loved me before. And I saw that jealous look in his face again last night when I was talking to a guy mutual friend. There is no way I would sit in a car like that. It's weird.
