No. You can compete with the less successful guys or you can compete with successful guys. If you skip work at random for a woman you're in the first group. She can always find some guy who is way more of a loser or "free spirit" than you. You're not going to win that and even if you do it's bad for your future. If you're in the second group, it's good for your future and your life isn't led/controlled by your penis or every woman who smiles at you. And when I was a simp I knew women who were happy to take all of my time but wouldn't take any time out from work for me. I wasn't skipping work tho.. but just giving time and when you're self-employed it's the same kind of deal.

So my advice is don't put random stuff ahead of work/business. And if you actually plan ahead and take the lead in doing stuff you can schedule a lot in advance.

No I said "SO" this is your lifelong partner not a new chick. Could be any number of reasons. Some that come to mind are suicidal tendencies, deep depression and anxiety, someone they loved like parents just died and she's begging you to come be with her in that moment.

It's really the same when it comes to this... it's like asking Olympic medal winners if they eat a lot of junk food. Most will say no. Likewise guys who made themselves successful didn't make life all about a woman /SO.

No, I would not. I'd also be evaluating my relationship. If they thought I should miss work just because they want to see me. That's a childish demand. It's also way too clingy.

You miss work for medical reasons, family emergencies or something which can only be taken care of during work hours. Such as seeing a lawyer or letting a repairman into your house.

If it's a light work day and my employer is flexible. I might be willing to come home a couple hours early. But probably not for that. As I'd be in a bad mood about being bothered at work by something trivial.

It really depends on the situation. As much as I am all for commitment and being their for my spouse, my career is the main thing that shapes me and reflects who I am as an individual. I poor my heart and soul into my career and I would hope my partner respects that.

yeah it wouldn't be a flippant matter, not what i meant. I could have probably thought up a situation. Not so serious as a hospital visit but not so casual as "he lets chill" either. Hmm what happens if he's battling depression and it's rare but he broke down calling you and some things were really bothering him and it sounded really serious over the phone?

Well yes sure in that case he needs me in the true sense. But it has to be reasonable I can’t stay off work every week because he’s got mental health issues do you see what I mean? And I don’t mean this in a bad way, I myself have mental health issues. But I’d support in him getting better and getting help, but I can’t stop my own life it’s unhealthy that way for both of us

no, no this is more of a one off if you will. Like it may or may not happen again in the future but if it did it might be like a rare occurrence or something. How rare? You probably might bump into this once like every few years or something maybe. It's not at all consistent. Also lets say he is getting help but it's not working and he's already seen like 3 therapists. XD

he does good like 98% of the time though.
