If you tell him, you'll receive an awkward pittied and apologetic look and response. Do you want to tell him to make him feel good about himself? Some gay guys are repulsed by women so some might not find it a compliment. Unless he's really nice and chill. A part of me feels like it's unnecessary to reveal it. It kind of puts him in an awkward spot to reject you unless you mention you already know he's gay before confessing. But I'll tell you right now he'll just act awkward and he might say thank you. But he'll probably turn to his friends and tell everyone about it later and they'll laugh about it. I'm not sure if it'll be a nice or bad laugh. But I don't interact with gay guys that often so the majority of them would probably not act like that. He could be a really nice guy about it. I knew a gay guy back in high school and I remember he would act like a spoiled little girl that would complain about things. Of course not all of the gay guys are like that. But looking back on that memory, I picture him acting exactly the way I described. So yeah tell him if you really want to but don't expect this nice response that'll make you feel better. Not everyone is cool like that. I wish you luck!

+1 yOf course it’s not wrong to like a gay guy, they are just like everyone else and can be wonderful and sweet. I know it’s a really hard situation and it’s a tough thing to have a crush on somebody that can’t share your feelings, but I’d say don’t confess. I just don’t think you want to put your friendship in an awkward spot and make things tense for the both of you. Try to focus on other people and hope the feelings come to pass in time. ❤️

There is nothing wrong with liking whoever you want, it's not something you can control. It's unlikely to get you anywhere but it's unlikely to hurt if he is an open minded person, hopefully it wouldn't damage your friendship, and who knows maybe deep down he is a little more bisexual than he thought.

+1 yNo, because some became that way from women abusing them. Just like everyone else they need people who love them and care about them. Some guys will be rigid on their stance and others will be an open book.

+1 yWell, I'd not confess if I were you. Your feelings will not be reciprocated. Its perfectly fine to like a guy who is gay, but if you confess your feelings for him, things would just get awkward between the both of you. Its just a crush, I'm sure it'll pass away. But, if you do wanna confess, then go ahead. At least, then you'd get it off your chest
20 ReplyIt’s not wrong. Gay guys can be more appealing to females sometimes, because they usually show more emotion and care than straight guys.
I’d strongly advice against confessing because there’s not even a chance he’d like you back, so consider his feelings. He’ll probably feel awkward around you or not know what to say. Once you say something you can’t take it back.10 ReplyIt's okay to like anyone. There ain't no thought police going around. However, confessing can sometimes make things awkward. If you're sure he's the type of person who won't get affected by it, you should go ahead. Otherwise, I wouldn't risk losing a friendship with him. Then again, if he turns out to be gay and rejects you right away, you might move on to someone else (who might like you back) quicker.

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yYou like him because he likes you and you know it has nothing to do with your body. My guess is at some point you'll want it to be sexual and it won't be or at the very least not quite the way you want it to be. So long term I see something wrong with it.

+1 yYou're probably not helping if you want to be friends with him, so I don't know if it's a good idea to tell him. But it's not wrong liking a gay guy. It's just probably pointless. But not wrong.
10 ReplyI'd feel weird if my lesbian friend opened up about having feelings for me knowing that I'm straight.
10 ReplyEveryone can fall in love with anyone, it's not your fault and it's not a bad thing either, just tell him it won't bother him and he may be attracted to you as well, who knows
00 Reply6.8K opinions shared on Relationships topic. It's certainly not wrong to like him. I have liked several gay women. But I understand that they are not romantically attracted to me and never will be.
00 ReplyDo it. You only live once. Better to regret what you did do than what you didn't do. Rationally speaking of course.

+1 yI wouldn’t say anything, it could make the situation awkward for you both. As hard as it sounds try focusing on other people to move on from him :/ sorry your going through this by the way ! X
10 Reply1.7K opinions shared on Relationships topic. There's a NOT very nice name for girls who chase gay guys but since you're under 18 I'll leave it at that. You don't want to be that.
00 ReplyGirl, I'd say just don't. It disgusts them, just how a female lesbian confesses to a straight female and your reaction would say it all.
00 Reply7K opinions shared on Relationships topic. Pointless telling him all it will do is make the situation awkward

10 Reply No, I don't think so. Just be prepared that its pretty much impossible that anything will come of it.

The thing is, as a woman who ended up liking a gay dude as well is not about sexual intercourse or whatever they fucking do in bed. I ended up liking the dude because of his outgoing and bubbly personality, how he asks me all the time if I'm okay and or when we hang out. He's the only one that understood me. He was always there when I needed somebody.
