I have a crush on a homeless guy, but I get nervous around him even though we talk to eachother just fine everytime we cross paths. I don't know why I'm like this.

Do your best to get rid of those feelings, because he's only an anchor around anyone's neck. Very very few homeless people are in a good state to start a relationship even if it wasn't there fault, but for most of them, it is their fault.
