Why does my boyfriend always point out how pretty other girls are?

Last night for example, we were on the phone and I mentioned Alicia Keys and how she won lots of awards, and his immediate response was "isnt she a really good looking lady?" He does this all the time! I can't mention a female without him giving his opinion on her looks. I find it very annoying.

Thanks Everyone! He does know it annoys me, sounds like I may just need to boost his confidence a little and maybe he will stop testing me. I really appreciate all your responses!

my boyfriend did that to me while we were at the movies seeing saw 5- with morgan good in it-.At the end he goes "i'm mad mogan good died she look good as hell"i slid him a look and said "so just because she looks good she's above dying?other people died too".then he goes "the other people didn't look as good as her though so they didn't matter"(obviously he hadn't seen the look I gave him ),him talkin about other girls leaves me with a hint of jealousy and a thirst for him to tell me I'm attractive too. But I see no need for the games and you probally don't either .So what I suggest you do is the next time he does it reply with a smart remark ,something trhat lets him know it bothers you. Oh and sorry for the long post xoxox

I dunno, I disagree. I gotta say I think sometimes guys just don't get it! They don't think like us a lot of the time so they sometimes can't see that they're being insensitive whilst at the same time if you're anything like me then we can often take things the wrong way! Lol

All I would say is that he evidently has an awareness for a beautiful female specimen and he's with you. so therefore you are a beautiful female specimen! Just be thankful that he's not making comments about your girlfriend or close female friends of his. Then you need to address the issue further!

okie he wants to see if you care.my one friends boyfriend always does this too her. its like why would he do this if he knows it kinda makes me upset.but that's how some guys act to see if their girlfriend really cares about them talking about other girls. sometimes guys just like to tease tho.as annoying as it is. just try to ignore it, or tell him it bugs you and kiss him on the cheek or something:)

I just thought of one other thing lol...whenever he says a girl is pretty be like "yah she's hot" and if he says she's hot then be like "yah she is pretty" lol..

he's just trying to see if your jealous and if it bothers you. Just tell him "i know she's pretty you don't gotta bring it up every 5 seconds" or something like that short and simple

Tell him it annoys you. He's probably just doing it to get a rise out of you. He wants to see if it bothers you. Obviously it is. He'll stop it if you call him out on it.
