I don't agree with the red pill rage sort of stuff, but I think there's a lot of philosophies in the realm that men and women should pay heed to. I say women too because they could learn some things about themselves and about their friends that try to influence them for their own purposes. There's a lot of grifters as of late in the manosphere though and you can usually tell who they are because they want your money for "help" just like the PUA sort of dudes... you know buy my book, and get my counseling bullshit.

The idea of protecting yourself from the pitfalls of a relationship isn't a bad thing though. I mean you're just opting to not spend your life paying out the wazoo for a woman's benefit. I mean even my mom must be red pilled because even she warned me that women will poke holes in a condom and lie about being on birth control. MGTOW/Red Pill content might go a little further and make you aware that they'll pull a used condom out of the trash in order to trap you with a baby.

On that note I think it raises awareness in general. There's a lot of dudes out there that never got told that women can be evil and do any wrong. Like I see dudes around me fall into traps all the time. It's useful knowledge in general. Some guys out there need to understand that even having a woman stay at your place for a couple weeks could equal her taking half of your shit. Or become aware of just how much more women cheat than most people think... Understanding the concept of hypergamy, and so much more to learn and ground one's self. Facts like 75% of divorces are initiated by women while a man usually only does it if he finds out he's getting cheated on... and that she'll still be awarded his money... and so on, and on, and on.

i looked this up one day to see what mgtow means, and it strikes me as bizarre how much they talk about it, all the time, online, why not just not tell anyone and do it? Is there some insecurity there that you need validation on the internet?

It depends on which part, some of that community is OK, some are just hateful and disgusting.
