My ex, who her and I have remained friends, won’t leave me alone. What do I do?

I’m in a loving, committed relationship with a great girl. She knows my ex from 8-9 years ago and I have remained friends. Lately, the ex, who’s now married with kids and lives 5 hours away, has been texting me asking if I’m alone. I’m almost certain it’s because she wants to sext me. I want no part of it. What’s gonna happen when I tell her it makes me uncomfortable and I no longer want to talk? Would she ultimately risk losing what’s she’s got over a few text messages? What do I say or do?

You are in a committed relationship and you owe it to your girlfriend to leave the past behind you.

You should tell your ex that you are fine just being friends but the past is the past and sexting is no longer an option between your ex and yourself. Is your current girlfriend aware of her texting you? If she is not, then you remove your ex from your contact list and do not reply any texts she sends you.

You send your ex an ultimate text saying that you don't want to jeopardize your current relation and that you will no longer text her because she cannot keep the conversation decent.

If you love your current girlfriend, you owe it to her to sever the texting with your ex because any written message could potentially lead to a big misunderstanding.

Thank you. Yes, current girlfriend is aware my ex and I talk. She knows we've stayed friends. And even though I've not done anything, now I'm nervous about getting any kind of message from the ex when current girlfriend is around, and I've never felt like that until recently...
