A friends with benefits is a friend you fuck. An actual boyfriend and girlfriend are friends that are a little more special than a friends with benefits, but you still fuck them. I don't think there IS anything in between unless you take out the fucking part and maybe just someone to make out with.

I think that is probably how we will end up referring to each other to others for the time being. As far as our friends are concerned our relationship hasn't changed, which in reality it hasn't really, as you say its more to do with the way forward than the actual relationship. I do feel a bit like a kid with a new toy though, and I don't mean I'm referring to her as a toy, I'm just in a good mood about it.
