My dad is a police officer, if I date his workmates (other police officers) and anything happens would you think he’d protect me or his work mates?

If I ended up dating my dads workmates who he’s close with, im not close with my dad at all.. if anything happened to me would he protect his work mates or me? Because people always say the police protect eachother🤷🏼‍♀️

Sorry I respect the police I just mean like, a lot of people say most police officers are abusive which I don’t think is true, but if I dated one of his workmates and they were abusive I’m wondering who he’d stick up for

The bigger question is which of his work mates are you interested in especially if your dad is the captain of their precinct. Choose carefully last thing you would want is to pick the guy your dad doesn't like or think he would make a good match for you,. Or he will bust the mans balls harder than just picking up a stranger on the street XD. Dads can be choosey and tough on their daughters boyfriends. I wouldn't be surprised if whoever he chooses if your dad is the captain of his area. If he starts putting your boyfriend through the ringer to reach your dads level or higher. Just to make him prove himself worthy.

I have worked in that field. He isn't in it to protect other cops. He's in it to protect everyone else and you are the most important person in the everyone else to him.
Be nice to the guy. He's carrying a heavier burden than you can imagine.

Update after your update. If it was a cop being abusive to anyone, a good cop won't stand for it and a department will see to it that he not there anymore. They have enough PR issues already.
If it's that cop's daughter, then the abusive fellow has a serious problem.
