Because I was trained to be single, controlled by abuses, confused, screwed up, poorly trained in intimacy boy who didn't introspect my own issues and flaws and take ownership to resolve them so I could set healthy life goals... constantly ignoring my problems, running from responsibility, avoiding intimacy, living in fear, wasting time on people who didn't want me, not taking responsibility for myself or putting in the effort to grow and heal and took forever to find a good partner in love and life that had to work hard to get past my blockages. So it took a long time...

And no it's not because I'm short, that women are awful, feminism, there's no good ones left, they are too difficult, I'm not good enough, blah blah. excuses... and deflection. You hear that you know you got a dude that is stuck in his ego, living in wounds and not doing the work on himself. It does take time though, some good fortune and effort...

I will be married soon and thankful I found the rarest of beautiful 🌹 butterflies 🦋 wandering through the swamps and praries of this world.

Because I've accepted the reality that I'm not ready to invest myself emotionally into someone. I've also come to terms that I'm most likely am not going to have a relationship perhaps till I'm 30. I have a few things to work on to become a reliable gentleman.
And my biggest issue is that I always get attracted to women who have problems that are way beyond my capabilities to help with, yet I still try to help because for some reason I believe I'm special or unique or "the one" who has the answers... When I'm not.
I'm aware of all of this, hence in my opinion it is better for me to stay off a woman's radar for a while.

Because I want to be.

It's not like there are guys knocking on my door or anything. So it's not like that.
I'm just not interested in being in a relationship at the moment, so I don't look for it.

I've been single for over a year. I dated shortly a guy after my most recent ex and I could just feel I wasn't ready for dating.
The relationship with my ex took a lot away from me. And I'm healing from it. Right now I'm not ready to give what is necessary for a relationship and I don't feel like I have that trust ready either.

I want to be alone right now because I enjoy being by myself because I'm mending my mental health and my heart.

Also, I'm searching for a job and see that as more important right now.

I got out of a bad relationship several years ago. Started focusing on improving myself and my life. Now I look at all I have accomplished and ask myself a couple of questions: Do I want to potentially introduce drama into the life I'm building? I'm happy and successful without a relationship. Is a relationship necessary for both like we make relationships out to be?
