Let's make a effort to see eachother he said (my close friend who moved)
Now he is gone I hear nothing,
I have initiated messaging in the past he replies fast and enjoys the conversation then suddenly stops replying,
I haven't messaged him at all to see if he would and nope I hear nothing
Why did he lie and say he wanted to keep in contact? Heartbroken 💔

People move on.
It could be a multitude of different things.

If he moved recently, then it could be that he is busy and trying to adjust to where he is now. Especially if it is hundreds or thousands of miles away, or in a foreign land with different dialects, languages, economic-social and political systems.
If it's less recent and months to years later, it's because he has been forced to adapt to a life without you being there 24/7 now. Perhaps it hurts him emotionally and mentally that you are not there anymore. Who knows?
It really does depend on what has gone down between you two really.

I thought that could be the case but he moved back in October and is still doing other activities apparently.

Oh! I thought it was recent. Yeah, he should be settled. Let me tell you about my experience with it.

My best girlfriend moved away years ago. It is about 10 hours by rail. I see her once a year. When she first moved, she was busy getting situated and learning of her new surroundings.

Once settled in, we talked quite a bit. Over time, it became less and less and she made new friends and life went on for both of us.

I love her to pieces but we just accepted the fact that we were both busy with life. We still talk or text about once a week. Sometimes once every two.

Just a reality of life when someone moves away and begins their new life.

Yeah I get that, I was actually worried someone would say this as I know it's the truth, I was afraid of hearing it from others as my intuition was telling me this was the case, I care deeply for him and miss him so bad, I know he has he's own life going on and I have mine, It still doesn't stop the pain from missing him, life sucks when someone or something gets taken from us we deeply love.

I miss her all the time. I just hold onto those memories I have and look forward to the times I do get to see her right down to getting a text.

I assure you he hasn’t. Memory of my friend pops into my head randomly. Something will trigger a memory.

It just will become less over time. If you shared a really close friendship like you indicate, that will never die.

Ah I'm sorry this also happened to you, She must have been an amazing friend. Unfortunately it was more of a short friendship (we have only been friends for around a year) but had one hell of a connection on my part at least. It might be it was more important to me than him. I hope not though.

Yes, she is a great friend. Had been since childhood.

You know. You can offer to visit like I do with my friend. I set aside a week a year to go visit.

We take turns traveling. It gives us something to look forward to and get excited about. This year, she comes here to meet my fiancé who she’s never met in person.

So, as you can see, there are ways you can keep your friendship going. Let me tell you that the week we spend together each year is magical and unforgettable.
