Husband will go to Mexico for his best friend’s bachelor party?

My husband (31) will go to Mexico in June for his buddy’s bachelor party for a couple of days with his friends. They will stay at an Airbnb in Cabo Mexico. I had a conversation with him about what their plans are and asked him if they plan to go to a strip club there. He said that they haven't planned what to do there yet. I told him if he goes to a strip club I wouldn't feel comfortable, then he got all mad at me. If his friends go to a strip club he will go with them. He said that he can’t say “no” to his friends. I don’t want him to lie to me/hide things from me, if he goes to a strip club I want him to tell me. I don’t know if I should talk with him again or not.

Bachelor parties + strip clubs are a social norm. I understand you wouldn't be thrilled with the idea, but it's super common and better than hiring private 'dancer (s)'. If he's open & honest with you about it, I don't think you need to be concerned. It's a dude night out, with some boobs involved.

What would your ideal outcome be? That he stays home and doesn't attend the bachelor party? That he goes but then stays back at the hotel while the others go to the strip club? That he tries to overrule the rest of the group and tell them not to go to the strip club?

Male strip clubs watching women dance are usually tamer than those Hen parties that women have. They take turns sucking the stripper's dick and some even get fucked right there. I would be WAY MORE worried about women cheating during Bachelorette activities.

Who cares? I wish my husband would go home (he's from Mexico) for a month or so.. visit a strip club, party w/the borrachos, and do w/e! Give me a break! lol How long have you been married? Obviously you don't trust him. I've been married for 9 years, but together almost 12. I know if my husband went w/someone else to Mexico, he wouldn't cheat, he'd get really drunk, but I know he'd still come home to me. If you keep acting insecure and complaining like that, it will only drive him further away.

You are projecting so hard it is sad to see. I am actually a retired stay at home dad. My wife works because she likes to and I do all of the housework. She can do what she pleases and I trust her. We have the same morals, values, and goals so I don't have to worry about her wanting to be trash and go to a strip club.

Thank you for your response @TransAm85 I appreciate it. We’ve been married for 2 years. He has lied to me about something once and I figured it out a year later and I don’t think that I’m insecure or controlling. I trust my husband with all my heart, I just don’t feel comfortable about him going to strip clubs and looking at other women’s naked bodies. I’ve never said that he can’t go. He is an adult human being and he can do whatever he wants. I just wanted to have a conversation with him and tell him about my feelings. I just hope that he wouldn’t lie about that situation after his trip. But thank you for your response again.

I was basically trying to incorporate the fact that a nagging, bitching, clingy wife drives a husband away, but you two are still in the honeymoon phase. I understand why you are weird about him going to a strip club, plus you said he already lied to you. Like I said about myself, I've been w/my husband so long, Idc if he goes to a strip club! He already knows that kind of beauty fades.. Your husband needs a reality check. If he wants to go rendezvous w/a stripper over a woman who truly loves him, he'll see his fate in the long run and totally regret it.

he's arguing with you because every man gets excited when they naked ladies. Just because he's married, it does not mean he is dead. It does not necessarily mean he wants to leave you or cheat on you. Usually, married men never leave their wives for strippers. But you would be lying to yourself to believe that your husband won't get excited seeing all those strippers.

He doesn't respect you enough to respect your wishes. It is perfectly reasonable to not want your s/o to go to a strip club even if you know they would never cheat. That is why it is important to share the same values and morals as your spouse. Or at the very least not have conflicting ones
