Why do men and women have poor judgment when having kids?

I see too many unmarried couples in positions where they should not have kids yet they still have kids and act like it's high in heaven. Everyone is happy but not one logical human besides me thinks of the baby. They rent a 2 bed room apartment and live paycheck to paycheck and they still live and act like they are in dream land. I just don't understand how stupid some human's can be.

All my friends all have goals with well respected girls and vice versa, they don't plan on having kids till they are ready. Have a house, car, carrier, married with education done. I was brought up with the same ideals yet I don't understand how most people have kids without a second thought as the the child's up bringing. It seems that when I look across the pond the poor is a perpetual never ending cycle of breading teens who have yet to complete high school. Poor parents will have poor kids who are poorly educated and will get pregnant at young ages because this is what there parents did. Get involved with drugs, alcohol etc.. It's often found that you will have young stupid mothers with the fathers spending time in state prison.

Honestly where are your god given brains? Is it so hard to have any critical thinking to the cause and effects?
