It can be an outrageous question, but we can't deny that affairs have had existed around the world and since memorial times, for many reasons: feeling love, sexual pleasure, money, making someone jealous, evading reality, etc, etc, etc.

Only on the internet, and I didn't know she was married at first.
She told me they were separated so we started messaging everyday, and sexting, and sending videos. It was neat to meet her and form a close bond for a while, but ultimately it led to trouble.
I'll likely never catch feelings for anyone who's married again if I can help it.

In those cases, you don't know the real marital status, some lie by saying they are still single, or that they are divorced, widow, single parents, or that they are or finished the process of divorce, when in reality they are still married. The only thing you can do is give them your trust and Lord help them if what they tell isn't true, or if you want to make sure, check, if they have, their profiles in social networks where they post their photos and videos.

Yeah it was a difficult situation because I grew quite attached to her over time.
We really clicked and could just talk to each other about anything. I felt closer to her at one point than I had with my ex-wife during our marriage.
I do think it was very selfish of her to pursue me online and pull me into the middle of their marriage drama. It was stressful to say the least.

So sorry it happened to you, it wasn't your fault. She lied you because it was obvious that you wouldn't have accepted in being more than just friends, and probably she wanted to have an excuse, a reason or something that could give her the strength or the power to end her marriage drama when in reality she had to get it from herself and from her family and friends' advice and encouragment.

Thanks, I don't think she ever did get separated.
I know that she was a very emotional person. she was hooked on keeping our online relationship going as soon as she figured out that I would listen to her, and give her attention, love and support.
She would also use our messages to purposely make her husband angry and jealous.
Oh well, I don't want to get into all of that, but it was hard to let go of her in the end, and kind of sad.
Life goes on and it's entirely possible that she's still married and possibly sexting with others.
Now if I meet a married woman who seems to be looking for attention I just try to avoid it mostly.
It's a dead end.

No, I luckily get turned off by men who flirt if they are in a relationship. I don't want drama like that. But it sure happens, I personally know several who did it.

Some were just for sex I think, some for validation or so which they lacked in the relationship.. a few in love, at least they became a couple for years when the married part actually got a divorce after some time. Though being in love is not an excuse to cheat.
