I have found out first hand that women also cheat, so it isn't just men.
Most of the time there are underlying issues besides sex, the grass is greener on the other side of the fence type of thing.
Most times it doesn't last long term with those 2, and sex can enter into it because it can be more exciting because it is wrong.
I had an exwife who I caught with the landlord who was also married.
I just stood back and watch their lives crumble around the.
Both went from living in a nice house to crappy apartments, living in a relatives basement.
Me, while it sucked at first, I found my second childhood so to speak.
I was able to by a few toys, did a lot of motorcycle touring, just had a lot of fun.
I had a good job, wasn't too ugly, so it wasn't hard to find someone to be with when I wanted.
She eventually move on from that guy, got married and had kids, but he turned out to be lazy, didn't want to work etc, so she kicked him to the curb.
She called me a few times, but hung up, and 1 day she stayed on the line it was about 20ish years later.
I didn't recognize her voice, she is living in Oklahoma so she has that accent.
We stay in touch and from time to time she says that if she would have stayed married where her life would be now.
I told her who knows if we would have stayed together.
Things happen for a reason, we just don't know what they are.
Would I have gotten to where I am today had we stayed together, I'll never know.

Could be one or the other or both but overall he’s an asshole if he cheats and can’t keep it in his pants but you’re 14 and so young.. don’t expect anything much from young teenage boys till you’re older but then again anyone can cheat. It’s based on maturity and their mentality also.

Almost all Women cheat... they have more options and they are more prone to chasing fantasies.

Most men when they actually love a female are loyal. But a man who has sex with another female because it is offered is still not cheating. There is often no emotional part to it. They are simply having sex for entertainment.
The number of men who “cheat” which is emotional is very few.

what often causes people to cheat on their partner regardless of which gender their go by. is likely due to a lack of pleasurable sex and/or being denied by their partner for long periods of time. a healthy and proactive sex life between partners is the glue that holds the relationship together through the good and bad times.

I don't think it's a men thing. Interestingly out of the many cheaters I have witnessed they have only been women. Probably because women have more opportunity to get sex. Also since women tend to like experienced who are taken, while men like patient women who are single
