Want to have a girlfriend but know that if she ever cheated on me I would probably kill her… What can I do to change these thoughts?

I am not sure if this is a legitimate question or if you’re trolling us, but assuming your post is real, you don’t need a girlfriend now, you have to go to therapy.

Why would you get into a relationship thinking it’ll end soon? That’s a pessimistic way to look at relationships, I guess. I’d advice you to not worry too much about the future.

“What will happen if…?” Erase the “if’s” from your thoughts. Live in the present. You don’t even have a girlfriend now.. so why would you wonder about the hypothetical girl cheating?

Your thoughts are dangerous, and I’m glad that you’re self aware. Please get therapy.
