Yes. Spot on.
Strong emotions can make it feel like there's none like that one person and those types are rare, but I think it would be either naive or religious to assume that every piece of the puzzle is permanently unique in that way.

It's a combination of different factors for most people though.
- Firstly, compatability is a huge subject.
One could be compatable in just some ways, then there's in which ways can you live without compatability. Because one rarely has it all.
- Then there's time. Time is always upon us and if we never make any decisions we can't make the mistskes that might take us to the right wisdom along with the right decisions. We'll have to choose our regrets, do we regret doing something or not doing it.
- Inevitably we're somewhat controled by emotions and intuition, so it will play a presumably huge role in which way we sway. There's no denying that or risking being naive. But balance is everything and knowing when to investigate based on a feeling abd when to take it rationally is everything.

A soulmate is something we choose to create, not something that existed before we met the person. The same holds true for fate; we create our own fate. It's amazing how many people don't want to put forth the effort and just want to blindly believe there are prepackaged deals waiting for us to discover. When two people take the time to create and nurture a healthy, respectful, considerate, caring and loving connection, what they develop can be called a soulmate. It can also be called a frggoeldrm. The name is irrelevant. It's what we know we have that holds value to us.
