$1800 in savings & about $1700 in credit card debt? I was unemployed for about 6 months and had around 6k in savings at the time but that money was used to take care of myself. This is the money I have left and when I got my first paycheck around 3 months ago, I had about 3k in credit card debt. So long as you have consistent income now and are able to continue improving your saving and debt, it sounds like you’re doing fine.
The purpose of a savings is to save you when the tide’s low. Seems like it served its purpose. Now you just have to get back on your feet. 👍🏻

People in far worse situations. That's not too bad depending on what your monthly expenses are and how much extra income you have after them a month. If you're putting a few hundred on that debt a month, it'll be gone before long.

You are probably in the upper 50% percentile in the US. I heard a week ago that credit card debt is almost 1 trillion dollars, a new worlds record. It won't be pretty when people start filing for bankruptsy.

Nah having nothing but debt is worse than broke but having nothing but being debt free would be broke so you could make yourself broke right now

It is to me. But look on the bright side. The avg. American has about 100k in debt. So it's all a matter of perspective. Don't think of it as being broke. Think of it as your level and now you can start building up.
