People who have cheated, why did you cheat? and do you regret it?

I don't live life in regret because everything is a learning experience. It's been said experience is the hardest teacher, because she gives the test first and the lesson later. I cheated emotionally; the circumstances leading to it were very complex. I won't justify it, but will say there was much to learn from the experience- not just for me, but for my wife, and my cheating partner. It hurt. It hurt everyone involved. It's what you do to recover from such situation which ultimately determines your character. A similar situation began happening to me again later and I immediately stopped it because I had the experience to know what happens if I don't. I can make mistakes but be a stronger person as a result. I've made significant life changes as a result. So no, I don't regret it at all.

I have cheated on a couple partners years ago when I was a dumb teen in high school. I cheated on one person because we were in long distance and I got lonely, and I cheated on the other because I had feelings for someone else.
At the time, I regretted it because I ruined the relationships and I felt terrible about hurting them. Today I still feel kinda bad thinking about it, but I wouldn’t say it’s something I regret anymore. It was a long time ago and they are relationships that don’t mean anything to me anymore. They were barely even “real” relationships, they were both like a month long when we were 15 so I doubt they’re still hurt by it lol

I was in a long term long distance relationship. I was a virgin and my girlfriend wanted to wait until marriage. I was at a party and started talking to a girl and we went back to her dorm room and she asked m if I wanted to have sex with her. It was a bad decision but I did not know when I would ever get the chance again. It was not very much fun and I did regret it. My girlfriend never found out.
