How do u know if someone’s right for you? What would you do if he or she said something against what u believe?

Like My ex boyfriend said it’s okay to bully others and the victim should learn how to survive in the society or group. (he bullied others verbally when he was in highschool. He wasn’t not the main person who want that happen Tho He did encouraged it , watching others got hitted , Things got thrown away)

I don’t feel it right. I think bullying someone verbally or physically are both wrong. We should stop it if we witness it. I don’t understand him. He wants a kid but how can someone wants kids , being ok to bullying.

We talked about it and after that night he broke up with me said we are very different.
This is sths really disappointed me.

He sounds genuinely pathetic. I used to get bullied a lot in school when I was younger. I always noticed how all the bullies have the weakest skin. I remember this one kid who would bully everyone, and everyone had gotten so used to it nobody even talked back to him anymore. So when he tried to bully me, I talked back of course and he cried. From just one simple sentence from me was enough to break him. I always pondered about that, even though I was the bully victim, thinking back I think I harmed my bullies more than they harmed me. Cause I was so used to hearing crap, from family too. I grew up in a broken home.

Either way, you dodged a bullet. Dude has shitty morals. I'm sure he would be okay with bullying his own kid too if he had one. Being stronger, in any sense truly, you would want to help the less fortunate or "weaker" sort of, at least if you have a shred of empathy. I always say this, being evil takes nothing, absolutely nothing. Being good takes effort. That dude sound like someone who would prance around thinking they are tough shit beating up people in wheelchairs or mentally handicapped. It's hard to even imagine anything more pathetic than that.

That some people have different opinion etc is fine in general with relationships, I think it's more telling and more important that key morals at least match. In this case again, I doubt you could ever truly feel safe being around someone like that. If anything be proud that you are not like him. No loss on your end, that's for sure.

Yea. I feel that too. So shitty.. It’s uncomfortable hearing words like that from him.
I used to be bullied too.
My ex bf’s word makes me imagine a scenario of me being bullied and he broke up with me just to avoid trouble…
Or even worse he might add a few words to it. Like he said verbally…

I mean there had to be signs that your ex was trash. So how do you know if they good for you? Time will tell and don't ignore all the red flags I imagined you ignored.

Personally, i think someone is right for me when i feel safe with them emotionally and physically. I dont feel insecure with them and they are not hesitated to talk if something in our relationship/my behaviour is not right. Communication is very important.
If they do say something that against my belief (preferably something serious like yours), i would tell them off. If its something not morally right, its better to stay away from that person.

Yea but people sometimes pretend , conceal their bad parts..
It takes so much time to discover the truth.
Like this one it took me 3months to realize that he was a bully.
