Why are men so incompatible with women?

I don't think we necessarily are. We just expect more gender dimorphism and see less of it.

But there are a lot of ways that men's and women's behavior complement each other. On the widest scale, women are a source of healing and closeness, and men tend to be more about practicality and pushing boundaries. If you think about what happens when children are raised without balance between these, it gives you an idea of how they complement each other.

Often those who grew up with only mothers have more of a "failure to launch" and are stuck in their confort zone. Those who grew up with only fathers often fear intimacy and attachment, fearing dependence and preferring independence to the point of social isolation.

Keep in mind these are generalizations. My parents were actually both quite balanced and, in some aspects, reversed. My mom was all about me pushing myself in my career advancement and financial independence, and my dad was extremely encouraging in my developing new skills.

I just feel like a decent amount of incompatibility comes from us trying to make ourselves so unlike the other that we imbalance ourselves. I work on cars, do DIY construction and electrical work, but also like cute puppies, enjoy cuddling, and can talk about my feelings relatively easily. Had I strayed away from the latter, more feminine traits, it would be damn near impossible for me to relate to women.

We're also lonely af as a generation. This shows up in different ways, and the stress takes its toll in different ways. It seems like guys get more restless, antsy, and thirsty, but also socially recluse. A pretty bad self-reinforcing combo. It seems like girls get more depressed, asexual, and attention-seeking. A guy might see her need for attention as the very dependence he had grow up not to respect. And of course, when most people are strangers, the attention girls get from strangers primarily comes from guys who are already thirsty af.

It's a topic I'm wanting to see a lot more attention put towards, because we're seeing its implications more and more.

It's not only evolution hence men and women are born as opposites in many cases but also through the growing lack of knowledge what the other sex wants and desires.
Like more and more guys spend less time with women unless they are dating.
Plus porn is becoming an issue because already many guys get to women through porn or videos and no real life experience.

Evolution didn't- society did. Too much selection pressure was removed, and people started thinking necessacy adaptations were optional.
