Let's say I like a girl but she's 16 or 18. She might date a guy that's 20 but not 24. Is it okay to lie and say I am 20 or 21? Eventually, when she very much likes me, my real age shouldn't matter. What do you think?

Well if you are 24 and like a girl that's 16-18 you've definitley got to tell her your age.

24 is over the age of majority, you're a grown adult.
16 may be the age of consent where you are, but it's still classed as a minor. She may not want to date a guy 8 years older than her.
18 may be at the age of majority, but she may not feel comfortable dating a guy 6 years older than her.

Always be truthful with things that can branch into romantic-sexual relationships, otherwise it can cause possible problems.

It's wrong if you're a grown man and you don't.
A 16 year-old being a relationship with a 20 year-old is still classed as being 'close enough in age'. The 20 year-old is over the age of majority. But it's a 4 year age difference.
If you're 24 and you date a 16 year-old, you've got an 8 year age gap. That's a big age difference, especially considering you'd be dating a minor.
You need to disclose that.
If she doesn't want to be in a relationship with a guy that much older, that's her choice. You shouldn't lie about things like that, especially to someone that's still in high-school.

I still would recommend you go for 18+ in a relationship. There's a big mental age difference between a 24 and 16 year-old.
Some people may argue it's not morally appropriate either for a 20 or 24 year-old to date a 16 year-old girl or boy.

Some girls that age may not want to date a guy 5-6 years older than them.

In some jurisdictions it might be illegal for a 24 year old to date a 16 year old. How would you like it if a 14 or 15 year old girl lied to you saying she was 18 and you ended up sleeping with her? In that scenario you could find yourself in real hot water. The law doesn’t care if she lied to you. You would go to jail while she gets off scott free.

First check the age consent laws in your state/county.

Second do NOT lie. I’ve had (legally) much younger women date and sleep with me. I too was nervous I might of gotten turned down for being way too old but they didn’t. They liked me because I treated them well.

Third there is quite a difference between a 16 year old and 18 year old. One is technically a legal adult the other has to worry about curfew. I don’t recommend it.

However, regardless of you claims that you look younger, you may not fool her for long. People pretty much look their age. A coupled of 30 year old women on GAG said, they are 30 but look 20. They may look 20 in retouched photos but in person, it is obvious they are years older than 20.

They don't look early teens. I also like the APink Kpop girls. I watch videos of them from when they first started at ages 14 and 15 and I watch recent videos of them and they don't look the same.
Another singer I like is Hayley Westenra. I watch videos of her from various ages from 17 until now. At 17 she doesn't look the same as videos from her mid 20s. And, she looks younger then than she does at age 34. I also watch Korean dramas. The only women I have seen near age 30 that could pass for age 20 are South Korean movie stars. And, of course I don’t see them in person; only in Korean dramas.
