Have you ever hid a substance addiction from a new partner? If so, did they ever find out? How far into the relationship if so, and how?

Please don't judge me, we all have something to help us cope... I'm not officially in a relationship with this person but we have been talking for 8 months and still haven't met as one of us is from Canada and the other is from the USA. We should be meeting soon, I haven't told him I have an addiction in fear he would stop talking to me.. am I a pos for not letting him know about this?

By the Grace of God I have managed to avoid that situation. If you are in such a way, perhaps, seeking God in book of John would be a good idea. Proverbs is interesting too.
