How off-putting are self harm scars?

They are just a sign of life a person has been through or is going through.

I have them, and it’s just a thing really.

it has in the past been a conversation, and in a weird way a sort of chat up line.

I have friends with them, some minor some fairly major and current.

for me it would not matter either for dating or friendship, either way it’s giving them support and or space.

If they're over it and it doesn't completely ruin the body, then it's fine for either or at least a friendship.

People go through all sorts and it's not always their fault.

I used to self harm but I was left with very minimal scaring, but I won’t ever judge anyone over their scars. Although, if they are still actively harming themselves then it’s best for me to stay away from dating them (friendship is totally okay).
