Can you be friends with your ex or should you cut him/her off forever?

I'm still friends with my first ex but, I haven't seen or heard from her in about 21 years.

My 2nd ex came back to me as a friend about 10 years after she left me and we became lovers again about 27 years later, then she broke up with me again, got severely pissed at me for not helping her feed a "stray" cat and we haven't talked since.

My third ex was cheating on me before I broke up with her BECAUSE she was cheating on me so, I really don't care if I ever see her again!! However, a couple years later, I was looking up her niece (whom I also consider to be MY niece) online because I haven't seen her since she was 11 and all I did was compliment her on how gorgeous she turned out and Madame Ex heard about it and got REALLY pissed at me land accused me of trying to fuck her!! SHE'S MY FUCKING NIECE (as far as I'm concerned)!!! Why bis it everyone else is allowed to compliment her but I'm not? So, again, I really don't care if I ever see that witless cunt ever again!! Even if she TRIES to p[op in on me, she won't find me because I'm not in my house, anymore and she has no idea where I am, now!!

I can wish them well. But there's a reason they're an ex. I still carr about them. I'll always care about them. But for MY OWN protection I have to cut them out of my life.

two of my exes are best friends after all these years, we've been friends for way longer than we were a couple long time ago (back in high-school and stuff)

the two most recent ex-girlfriends, we're in good friendly terms as well and still see them from time to time, so no... these are the people I loved and loved me for good great reasons

and I have no reasons to "cut them off forever" we just switched the caring to a new different kind of caring for one another
