Can you beat your boyfriend in a sprint running race?

Not a chance in my life. While I do run, it is more distance. I could probably beat him in a distance type thing. Not in a sprint. The issue is my height. I’m very short and he is tall. He can take one stride to my two or close to three.

He is also super athletic. He plays rugby (amateur) and that is a sport that requires bursts of speed. I on the other hand go running which is more of a leisurely pace. I’d surely lose.

Honestly, not sure why we would ever race. I do like jogging with him and likely could outlast him over a distance as I mentioned. However, when he wants to run fast, I can’t keep up with him.

If only I was taller, I might stand a chance. 😞
