Why my girlfriend seems less excited to see me after months?

We're neighbours and 2 years relationship. She studies in another state so we only see once in 2-3 months. Her family doesn't know about our relationship. So I cannot talk to her openly when her family is with Her.

Today morning i went to her house and saw her for 5 minutes after 2 months. Yes, She was excited. Then later we met them at a cafe for 45-60 minutes and she only looked at me once or twice. That too without an interest. I asked about it now and she said it was post period mood swing. I've never seen such post period thing on her.

Maybe she’s starting to reconsider your relationship. Already long distance is far from ideal, and seeing you only once every few months gets hard. No intimacy, touch or physical presence is lonely. Long distance can work, but usually if there is a solid plan for the future, not just hopes and fantasies. Maybe you want to live together one day, and do all these things together but nothing is set in stone, they’re just words. Then it gets hard to be hopeful of a future when the relationship is a secret. How can she (and you) genuinely look forward to building a life together when after two years, you’re still sneaking around even as grown adults? It’s a very bleak situation and if she is thinking better of it then it’s hard to blame her.

Sorry but from my perspective what life has to offer and the "living a lie" to Family and perhaps to everyone else has weighed heavily on her mind. I think together that her conscious is worn out. There's guilt and ultimately shame in that process. That, whether it is fair or not, is projected back upon you.

Seeing you at this point to drudgery especially if her heart has revealed that an impending separation is inevitable. She might be beginning that process in hopes that you start falling away... Anytime, within a relationship, one party is not know by the Families it will not work out. You should not put yourself in that position from my viewpoint. She is likely feeling the guilt for putting both you and Family in this position...
