Maybe it’s the opposite. A friend got divorced and, under Georgia law, there’s no alimony owed if marital infidelity can be proven.

Yes, in the case of the friend with the cheating wife, no children were involved. And she did get half the house even though he paid for it and, a year earlier in bankruptcy court, she stated under oath she had no financial interest in the house and it was all his. In divorce court, she stated under oath it was half her’s. She broke down and cried when the judge told her she only got half and would have to make half the payments until it was sold. She never did.

With kids involved, I know men whose cheating wives got custody of the kids and child support. In one case, a DNA test also showed one of the kids wasn’t his.
