Why do men have to suck it up?

Why is it expected of men to always suck it up and why venting after a bad day is seen as a weakness?

Probably because women are (in general) weaker. Men are responsible for maintaining stability. If you seem unstable/soft/easily broken then you are not looking responsible. It's similar to how if you went to a job interview to build houses, you came in whining about how you don't like lifting bricks or working with concrete. Society (women and others) judge you like you're being interviewed in many instances. Of course it's better if you can back up an image of confidence/strength with actually earning that confidence. Most guys become tougher as they exeprience hardships/stress/roadblocks in life & keep pushing. So a guy who has not had any trouble in his life can't be as tough as one who has - all other things being equal.

I'm not saying you can never vent but be very, very careful doing that to women. And you better have goals and a lot of hard work as your primary focus if you want to be successful in life. Venting does not win races.

Men do difficult and dangerous shit to keep our own lives and the whole of society running smoothly. If we don’t suck it up, we become a danger to ourselves and everyone else. Or so it’s been written and upheld for generations.
In reality, the most dangerous men are the ones who’ve sucked it up too often and for too long, with no safe place to express ourselves. We can put an end to a lot of human misery and failings by ending the stigma that men who express themselves are weak and a societal liability. Obviously there should be a right time and right place for such things, but that’s the point. At present, there is no right place or right time, and rarely a right person to whom a man can safely express himself without destroying his life and livelihood.

Eh, when a man goes through pain & suffering, yet has control or learns from it, it often makes him stronger. And as you said yourself (paraphrase) the world needs strong men. Men don't have the luxury of complaining without building/solving problems. Women do, because men will pick up the slack (fair or not). Some guys want to act like women these days but in my view they've been brainwashed to think that's a good thing.

It’s not that cut and dried though. Men kill themselves at roughly four times the rate that women kill themselves, and that’s been true for generations. Bro, do you think back when men built the pyramids, guys were sitting around complaining about how thousands of dudes died while the women were at home making pottery, salads and painting their naills? Nah. Men built civilizations because they chose to. Not because it was easy or comfy to do so. Today people put comfort first and don't think obligations/responsibilities are important. This is why western civilization is in rapid decline. Life is NOT fair.

Doesn't mean I think the current way men get treated in society is right tho! Traditional ways worked better for men and women. Feminists never want to talk about the successful women who existed before modern feminism cause it goes against their talking points.

Toxic masculinity.

It is entirely reasonable to need to vent after a bad day and want a sympathetic ear and support from your loved ones.

The idea it isn't is a result of generations of toxic masculinity pushed by an insecure patriarchy. Burn it. Let it go. It is a relic of a long time ago.

You're allowed to feel. It is human to feel. It is good. You're allowed to express yourself. That is also human, and good.

Anyone who tells you otherwise isn't deserving of your trust. They're not going to help you and they're only encouraging toxic behaviour.

Men are allowed to feel, to be human, to need support. It is inhuman to expect otherwise.

3. Our brain isn't hardwired to safeguard men but women. It's because women are always seen as vulnerable and they can only give birth for only a few times in her life while men can impregnate hundreds of women at a time. Fewer men with more women helps with the population more than vice versa and that animal instinct is still in modern human.

4. On the contrary, giving men emotional support can weaken them. They need solution to keep going through the hard times instead of making their lives easier. Babying them just makes them question their worth/value. That's also a how men's brain is hardwired. Unless you're talking about modern men who lacks testosterone only a few women desire. People are just telling men to suck it up because it's just an easier thing to do than to help someone solve their problems.

Because it is. When you vent the only thing that will happen is now your partner (wich most often is the one vented to) also worry or is badly effected by whatever troubles you. Why vent? Unless you're one of VERY few men with a partner that can actually help you with your issues you're just indulging in negative energy.
