Would you be annoyed if your partner changed their mind paying/doing something for you when you were fine to do it yourself in the first place?

So lets say you were down with paying for both of you and your partner or your own share of whatever you end up doing or going out to eat. Then your partner tells you no i got this and then they change their mind and let you pay for it or make you do whatever it is that you two are doing
