Have you ever tried a happy pill? What was the name of it and how did it make you feel?

Bupropion. I tried it for adhd but it’s also a happy pill. I was told it was the only medication that I could try because I already present in a subtle hyperactive way. Generally, I’m already a little anxious and bite my nails and have nervous leg movements like shaking my foot or my whole leg while sitting. All other options were strong stimulants and I couldn’t even handle the lowest dosed pill (75 mg) of this drug without feeling completely sick. I had to quarter or half it.
It would take my entire appetite away. I ate like a bird, especially in the mornings right after I took it. I couldn’t eat a normal meal until dinner. I didn’t lose any weight though.
Also, I felt like an energizer bunny with no inhibitions about starting a task. My house has never been cleaner. It really felt like an obsessive compulsion that if I thought about needing to do something I would just get up and do it. In theory it sounds great but I couldn’t take a break at all during the day.
In the evenings though, I felt myself crash as it wore off and I was full of anxiety and began hysterically crying every day around that time for no reason.
I honestly didn’t enjoy anything it did and it didn’t take long for me to decide it wasn’t right for me and that I was better off finding ways to cope and function on my own.

I have! Olly happy gummies. Supposedly good for boosting your mood-
Note how I said "supposedly." I got them on clearance at a local grocery store. I tried them for about 2 weeks?
Meh, no change in mood, energy, or overall attitude.
I'll stick to exercise as my "happy pill."
I micro dosed a few psychedelics. They make you jump around laughing, some of them make you feel like you're vibrating.
Even though they're better than many other drugs, you're even better off eating unsweetened chocolate, drinking bone broth, oxytocin raising dairy fermented with L-reuteri, or a mega dose of a high quality magnesium supplement. All of which are happy making and even erectogenic... and overall beneficial for your health long term.
I've tried tons of "happy pills". The ones that I can think of off of the top of my head are Prozac, Xanax, Paxil, Effexor, Zoloft, Remeron, Tofranil, Wellbutrin.
That's all that I can remember. 🫤

I don't even know what these are... or if they're an actual thing, or the name for a drug (legal or illegal)
but I can tell you that I hate swallowing pills... so probably not, never been happy taking pills
I take ashwagandha capsules 🤗
Mellows me out and makes me happy
Which one?
What’s a happy pill? Can you give an example?
Xanax... I think
Maybe you mean antidepressants then - I’ve never taken Xanax but I have been on other ones over the years. I didn’t find that they did much for me and instead I started seeing a therapist.
For me, having a couple of Excedrins after a severe migraine and then feeling better is the happiest pill that there can be.
I love prescription happy pills from a doctor
I'll die miserable and sad before I take a happy pill
