Is there any hope for a relationship where you get along with your friend better?

Hi all,

Do you think there’s any hope for finding and/or maintaining a relationship if you have a close friend that you are attracted to, that you also get along with better than your partner? However, the friend isn’t attracted to you at all … purely platonic. Can you make it work still, or should you just end that friendship?
