Is it possible to be in love forever (or a very very long time)?

I have recently reconciled with my ex. Me and him dated LDR for 2 years and then were broken up for 3. Now finally he's ready to move so we'll be living close to each other. Only thing that worries me is how I will feel about him once and if the feeling fizzles out. All in all I've known him for 5 years the feeling of love remained strong through out time. I mean the kind of feeling that stops you from eating and sleeping properly but makes you really upbeat and happy. I've been like this for 5 years and I wonder whether anyone's experienced this feeling for any longer than that, especially when I comes to living together. Is it possible to feel like this 10/15/20 years into the relationship?

Sure.

My record for living with, and being in love with a woman was 15 years total. There were definitely times when we had major problems and the marriage didn't end well, but ultimately we were addicted to each other and spent a crazy amount of time together. We did drift apart eventually, but 15 years together was still pretty significant.

Did the feeling just one day stop or mellow out and then stop? Also was that caused by any negative actions on your/her part or just natural? Also were you able to feel that way again with anyone else?

I never really stopped loving her because we met when we were young, she was my first, and the mother of my child. My feelings for her ran deep and I thought we would be together forever so I sacrificed a lot and allowed my life to revolve around her. Eventually after many years, and lots of exciting experiences together we started to kinda drift apart. She started working in a different town, meeting new people, and not coming home as much. She was kind of over being a mom and the responsibilities of married life. I was working, and taking care of our son a lot, and becoming frustrated with her not spending as much time with us or being as loving as she once was. I started to push her away even more to send her the message that I'm not happy, but it ultimately backfired because she already had a "Male friend" at work who was just hoping our marriage was done so he could capitalize off of our problems and get laid basically. So you can guess how that all ended, but to answer your question about whether I felt that love for anyone else, I definitely did. After my ex and I separated I was a single dad, but I met a woman online that I became extremely close with for 2 years while I was raising my son and working, but that didn't last because she turned out to be married and her husband freaked out and started threatening me just before she was gonna fly to come stay with me. After that I just dated randomly for a few years, but ended up getting used to living alone for the first time in my life.

Feeling of love must be on and off. I haven't seen love last more than honeymoon phase. If you don't get someone you could have feeling for them for longer. Love is lot of work. We must wake up everyday and choose our partner. Life changing events happens and most of us grow apart. It should start on good note and stay that way. There has to be chemistry connection and sex.

I know couples with great grand kids and married 55-60 years... It is possible but I have to believe going to church and being In Christ has something to do with their success...

I have been married fpr 26 years. I used to watch this old couple walking hand in hand near where I used to work and I remember thinking that someday that will be my wife and I.

Yes its possible, only with someone you actually love though. People throw that word around without actually meaning it.

I never wanted to be around people that did not want to love me when I loved them. To me, that is negative and toxic and I don't need that in my life.
