You can move on if you just let go of the hope and tell yourself that "it isn't going to work out"/"it's not meant to be."
Thinking about what if/what could have been is only going to stop you from living your life happily and you can't move on even if you meet a really great person. So, you need to try to stop dwelling on the past because time is precious and distance yourself from that person.
If it wasn't meant to be then I make myself stop thinking about them or dwelling in the past and move on. I've been through a very difficult break up which left a bittersweet memory, but I firmly believe that moving on is a choice.
Welcome to the love labyrinth! ✨ Here's my take: you can definitely harbor feelings for someone for what seems like an eternity, even if the stars never aligned for you two. It's like having a mental playlist of "what ifs" playing on repeat. But darling, if it's not meant to be, it's healthier to pack up those lovely memories and allow yourself to move forward. Dwelling on the "almost" could keep you from experiencing the "absolutely!" 🚀 Life's too short not to embrace new adventures in love! 💖

Of course you can very easily. But the thing is. Ok to love them. If it's not meant to be the act of real love is letting them go so they can start there new life and be happy for them I have a couple ex like that..
It's just not meant to be and we won't even try
Well, if you can't be together because of extraneous circumstances then the answer should just be to move on.
If those circumstances could be changed and the relationship made possible, then of course you should try so long as the effort required is reasonable. If its something like having to wait a decade for them to return from a different country or staying available in the hopes that they get a divorce sooner or later then its obviously logical to move on.
It really depends on you. I hope things work out regardless of what decision you make.
It is better to acknowledge it and move on.
I had a relationship 6 years and my feelings only grew stronger but it was too painful to continue what wasn't going to happen.
So, I moved 3,000 away from him, and made sure it was over and it didn't take long for me to put that painful relationship behind me.
I learned a big fat lesson the hard way - time doesn't bring two people together so don't waste your time if it's not there and won't work out for you.
I believe it's possible to love someone forever, even if you're not meant to be, but that love may need to take a different form. The important thing is to accept reality, let go of obsessions, cherish the good memories, and grow from them.
It's important to note that if this kind of love causes you pain and distress, and it's interfering with your life, you may need to seek professional help to better process your emotions.
Yes, I still love my ex it could’ve worked out, but there were circumstances that kept it from doing so I still love her, but I don’t hope for her back because I agree that we are better apart. It took me a while to see that but I still love her It just gets less painful With time
Yeah, I think so. Some people just leave a permanent mark on you. You might move on, date other people, live a whole new life, but a tiny part of you will always have love for them. It’s like when a song randomly plays and suddenly you’re back in that moment.
Yes iam going through this right now our marriage has been wonderful til i was 40 and something happened to both of us we just had issues from past we never addressed and now its to late to fix not over yet but my love for her will never end she was my first love and got 25 years of great memories
Neither. You can still love someone even if you’ll never be with them.
I agree 100%.
I guess emotions change. But the bonding is the important thing. And your character. Love is a result of hormons and can change. But it is the will what happens.
Sometimes it's better to become platonic friend then lovers, even if that's not what you want. A relationship works or it doesn't. Sometimes you have to choose with your heart and sometimes with your head
I don't think that there is any "It wasn't meant to be".. Either, you made it work or didn't.. And if that's the case, it's best to move on and not dwell on it if you're not gonna try and make it work again..
Yes, I do. I'm there. The man I really truly loved, he and I wasn't possible to be (which is life) and he passed away early this year.
That all depends. Do you think your relationship is worth maintaining? Complacency is pretty costly when it comes to relationships. Nothing worthwhile is maintenence free.
Definitely if you are capable do NOT keep staying stuck on the thought of what could've been but yes it's very possible...
Long story short if you know it couldn't be or it won't be, let it go.
No, I'm not sentimental or that uhhh lovey dovey - that just becomes too much lol 😂 😆 crazy like
Can you have feelings for someone? Relationship status titles don't change the feelings we have.
I can understand thst person can never get over a relationship. It is better to move on but sometimes you cannot/
Move on, there hav been women n men who didn't want 2 move on. They started stalking their exs, bothering them even when some of their exs found someone else n ended up in jail.
Like in the song "Love Travels" it is possible, if it is genuine care for the other rather than a self-serving "You make me feel good" type of thing.
Nah plenty of women ruined me. Love is fleeting as it takes two to tango and women can't dance to this. Women don't want partners they want pets.
I think people generally mean it at the time. Maybe something happens to change that.
nah i could never, we’d run out of things to talk about in a month, id have to switch every month if i ever wanted to be with someone
Yes
I was heartbroken when I was about 17 and it still hurts
Yes, I know it's possible, because it happened to me.
I usually think about what could have been...
我相信爱一个人并不一定意味着占有他。有时候,把那份温柔藏在心里也是一种爱。
但人总要向前看,真正的爱也意味着放手。
yes.. we only love once like a innocent child. it's not the same after
Meant by whom or what?
I mean a relationship that never went vert far, but where feelings still are present.
Sure. Infatuation feels really good, but facts can cut it short.
