Since I love women so much, i could do with that if nobody minds. But realistically I'd have only 1 woman.
I do not know why I would want or need 2 wives... 1 woman is a LOT of work...
One is expensive enough (mentally and financially). Two... you better be Bill gates.

Solomon just didn't follow that law and he actually ended up turning his back on God for a time.
@NamerOfStars: God suffered for men to have multiple wives because God destroyed nearly every single human with the flood with the exception of 8 people.
So for the sake of quick population growth it made sense for men to have multiple wives in the ancient world so the population can grow.
When the new testament came around in the 1st century and enough people where on earth God clearly commands one husband and one wife only.
Where, exactly? Jesus had basically nothing to say about it (that survived, anyway), and even in MODERN Judaism, Levirate marriage is still considered acceptable (though it's long fallen out of favor). The CHURCH had plenty to say about it, but that's not God.

This is a faithful saying: If a man desires the position of a bishop, he desires a good work.
A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach; not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not covetous; one who rules his own house well, having his children in submission with all reverence (for if a man does not know how to rule his own house, how will he take care of the church of God?); not a novice, lest being puffed up with pride he fall into the same condemnation as the devil.
Moreover he must have a good testimony among those who are outside, lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

Now concerning the things of which you wrote to me: It is good for a man not to touch a woman.
Nevertheless, because of sexual immorality, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband.
You can't claim that changes in Judaism validate Christianity and then ignore them when they question it; either it matters or it doesn't. And since Jesus said it does, you're ignoring the word from the horse's mouth- and to favor Paul, who never even MET Him.
Completely inappropriate because God created only one woman for Adam.
