Signs of a spoilt teenager?

If you gave money to a teenager and you have to remind them to say thank you. Does this mean they are spoilt? For instance at Christmas my partner kids get around £500 each. Maybe more and when I give them money I have to say or my girlfriend says to them, what do you say? Like you have to remind them to say thank you.

No that’s what they get at Christmas, sometimes more. But have to keep reminding them to say thank you is really bad in my eyes
